GAO Weng-ying is a minority scholar in late Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty.GAO Wengying comes from Yunnan Province.His academic achievements are relatively high in Yunnan Province at that period of time."Judging Taiji" is the representative work of the Neo-Confucianism thoughts for GAO Wengying.In his book, he has made unique explanations on the universal order "Li", the universal breath of dense or scattered matter "Qi" and the Highest Extreme "Taiji", which are quite different from the Neo-Confucianism in the Song and Ming dynasties."Taiji" is the core for the Neo-Confucianism thoughts of GAO Weng-ying.In his opinions, the Highest Extreme "Taiji" is the ontology of the motion and change for the nature and the society.The Highest Extreme "Taiji" has produced the movement from the extreme stillness.In this way, the universal order "Li" springs from the movement and changes of all things and thus the universal breath of dense or scattered matter"Qi", which is determined by the universal order"Li" and the material that constructs all things, is produced.
