Oxidative stress-induced lipid peroxidation (LPO) has been associated with human physiology and pathophysiology.Peroxidation of linoleic acid is one of main sources of reactive lipid aldehydes.These reactive lipid electrophiles can directly attack DNA,yield DNA adducts and result in DNA oxidative damage,which ultimately may lead to cell damage.
