Objectives To investigate the correlation of gestational age(GA) with serum leptin and bone speed of sound (SOS) in appropriate-for-gestational-age (AGA)neonates, as well as the relationship between leptin and bone SOS.Study design72 AGA neonates (29 preterm and 43 term infants) were recruited and grouped into different cohorts according to their gestational age.Anthropometric parameters, serum leptin concentration and bone SOS were measured in all the subjects.
