Thermal rectification in cone-shaped nanowires

  Thermal rectification in Si cone-shaped nanowires has been studied using molecular dynamics simulation.We found that thermal rectification can be effectively improved by reducing temperature gradient or introducing surface amorphous effect.The influence of the cone angle and the length on thermal rectification is also discussed.
