  As a typical rotating amusement ride,large pendulum has numerous potential accident risks due to its structural characteristic and complex working condition.Thereinto,many break accidents happened to the large pendulum driving unit.To obtain the more detailed dynamic characteristic of large pendulum in complex working condition and analyze its failure mode,this paper puts forward the dynamic simulation of a full-load large pendulum in complex working condition.This dynamic simulation also considers the manufacture and installation error of slewing bearing and the cooperation problem between mechanical and electrical systems.Therefore,the submitted simulation obtains the more authentic kinematic and dynamic characteristic of large pendulum Driving Unit.Thereafter,this paper analyzes the failure mode of large pendulum based on the dynamic simulation and also provides the base for optimizing the design of large pendulum.
