Functional Proteomics of Rice Plants in response to Salt Stress

A rice cyclophilin,OsCYP2,was identified in salt-tolerant rice by proteomic techniques.OsCYP2 not only had function of salttolerance,but also was involved in response to multiple stresses-drought,cold,heat,or ABA.Analysis of physiological,biochemicaland proteomic changes revealed that OsCYP2 transgenic plants had higher activities of SOD,CAT,and APX and lower inaccumulation of ROS and membrane lipid peroxidation level under salt stress than wild type.
