The community structure of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi of rhizosphere of woody plants in forest of Jin-do, island located in southwest of Korea, was investigated.The soil and root of plants were collected in rhizosphere of nine species of woody plants in Jin-do by the height.AMF spores were extracted from the soil and observed under microscopes.The taxa of the AMF was determined based on morphological characteristics and partial sequences of 18S rDNA region.The species belonging to genus Acaulospora, Glomus and Ambispora were identified commonly in each sampling sites and Acaulospra spp.were most abundant species but some species were found in rhizosphere of specific host plant,even in the same region.
