Objective:Mesenchymal stem cell therapy has been proposed as a promising therapy for acute myocardial infarction(AMI).However,some studies showed little effect of MSCs on AMI.One of the limitations are low homing efficiency of MSCs at the site of injury.We hypothesis that Ultrasound targeted microbubble destruction(UTMD)technique combined with PHD2 shRNA-modified MSCs enhances the homing efficiency of transplanted stem cells and improves cardiac function in myocardial infarction of rats.
