Background: Schizophrenia is long be characterized the result of dysfunction of brain.Recent years, functional connectivity density mapping(FCD)[1],a data-driven method,is used widely in functional MRI(fMRI)research which proves to be a powerful approach to analyze whole-brain conenction. This method is sensitive to the alteration of the distribution of brain hubs [1,2].We hypothesized that the hubs are altered in schizophrenia patients. Methods: In this study,forty-one first-episode medication-naive schizophrenia patients(mean age 24.86,age range 18-37 male 26,female 15)and thirty-eight healthy controls(mean age 24.76,age range 18-32,male 25,female13)are included.Data were preprocessed using SPM8 toolbox, the steps including: temporal and spatial correction. One dataset was excluded from the further analysis if translational and rotational parameters exceeded ±1.5mm or ±1.5; normalization, and band-pass filter.Last, the nuisances like head motion parameters, global mean signals, white matter signals and the cerebrospinal fluid signals, were regressed out. Results: Our results showed us that global FCD in middle frontal gyrus(MFG),and part of left side of support motor area(SMA.L)are significantly increased(FWER 0.05 corrected)in patients(showed in figure 1).Discussion: In the present study,we calculated the FCD in patients and found increased FCD in patients compared controls.Global FCD in middle frontal gyrus(MFG),and part of left side of support motor area(SMA.L)are significantly increased were consistent with before studies which found that the MFG is important in working memory [3] and working memory deficit is cardinal cognitive symptom of schizophrenia. In addition, motor behavior abnormalities [4] are an essential part of schizophrenia psychopathology, the SMA.L and MFG are important part of motor network.
