The successfulness of Toxoplasma gondii (T.gondii) is closely related to its complex life cycle, which enables it to infect all mammals and birds. It is expected that the parasite is genetically diverse due to its biological and epidemiological diversity;however, this genetic diversity can only be found in some areas while,in most areas of the world, there is only one or several types of T.gondii strains overwhelmingly dominant.
