We produced a silica-based xerogel/konjac glucomannan (KGM) hybrid coating by a room temperature sol-gel method and applied it on titanium (Ti) substrates for hard tissue implants. The coating morphology, adhesion strength, physicochemical properties, degradation rate and bone bioactivity were investigated.
