WEB Light-Gauge Joist Steel System is simply called WEB Steel,which is a kind of light steel residential housing system form.The basic element of web steel is small truss,which is composed of two parallel cold formed thin walled rectangular steel tube and "V" steel clip.Wall stud system belongs to composite panel,that consist of truss with OSB board (gypsum) attached to steel tube with self-drilling screw at regular intervals.For composite panel,wall-board not only play a role in envelope but also can improve the structural performance of panel.Sheathing materials significantly restrain the buckling behavior of wall stud and improve ultimate bearing capacity.This article intend to study the stability capacity of composite panel in Web steel structure with theory of spring supports.The wall board is simplified elastic springs distributed continually along the axial direction of stud.Using the differential equation of equilibrium,the flexural and torsional buckling loads are evaluated for typical end-conditions.
