Anthracene has been widely used as the electron-donor moiety to construct various donor-acceptor (D-A) type of copolymers with considerable PCEs due to its good molecular coplanarity,rigidity as well as weak donor property.1 However,in order to ensure the solution processability of the resulted copolymers,different kinds of bulky side chains are usually chosed to append on anthracene units through its 9,10-positions.As we know,such substitutions will influence the initial molecular coplanarity of the polymer backbone and thus hamper the intermolecular packing when copolymers were fabricated as thin films in solar cells.
