Rational management is an important factor for productive harvest.Itincludes irrigation, fertilizing, weeding and so on.Nowadays, farmland management largely relied on the experience of the management staff, which is subjective.In order to improve yields,some management staffexcessively use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, which not only increase the cost of production, but also pollute the environment.Precision Agriculture is an information-based agricultural management system, which mainly includes soil information and crop information.The study of soil science showssoil electrical conductivity contains a wealth of information about physical and chemical properties of soil nutrients.Soil EC can reflect the information of the soil salinity, water content, organic matter content, soil texture and other parameters to some extent.Effective access to soil conductivity is of great significance for determining differences in spatial and temporal distribution of various field parameters.It is also the basis of Precision Agricultures popularization which is based on information and knowledge.Spectroscopy is a fast,non-destructive detection technology.Its important to improve the system accuracy by analysisthe soil parameters using spectral data.This paper describes the development of Android-based vehicular soil conductivity, spectral reflectance information detection system.A Cortex-A9 quad-core architectureprocessor is usedas the controller.And a seven-inch high-definition touch screen is used for information display, software operation.A STS-NIR spectrometer (Ocean Optics Company) is used for collecting near-infrared spectral reflectance.Soil electrical conductivity measurement is based on improved "current-voltage" four-terminal method.And the discs fixed in the plow are used as electrodes.The system collects the information of soil electrical conductivity and soil spectral reflectance while collecting GPSs latitude, longitude and the acquisition time.The open-source softwareSeabreeze is used for controllingthe STS-NIR spectrometer and collecting the spectral reflectance data in the system.And socket protocol is used for transmitting spectral reflectance data via the router.The Seabreeze program runs on the Ubuntul308system installed in ARM.Combined with shell program, it could collect spectral dataand transfer data to the controller automatically and continuously.The electrical signals of soil electrical conductivity acquired by the system are converted by 24 bits AD converter module and the results are transfer to the controller through serial port.An uBlox-6M GPS module is used for acquiring latitude and longitude information.And the GPS information is also transmitted to the controller through the serial port.Android5.0.2 system is installed in the controller, which receives datathrough the Ethernet port and the serial ports.The open-source software MPAndroidChartis used for displaying graphical data and the data is saved in the SQLite database.The system could be controlled to collect soil electrical conductivity and spectral reflectance, scale charts, view historical data and so on through operating on the touch screen.The system was tested in Shangzhuang, Beijingon April 17, 2015.Soil electrical conductivity of the farmland was measured and soil samples of the farmland are collected in the farmland field experiment.The water content and soil electrical conductivity were measured in the laboratory.The result of the experiments showed that the system could work stably in the complex farmland environment.
