  As a novel optoelectronic device,the liquid lens has the advantage of fast zoom,low cost,small size and low energy consumption.Philips and Varioptic already have provide some commercial products to the users,it has been applied by itself or together with glass lens in many optical systems such as miniature cameras in cellphone and monitor,laparoscopic zoom cameras for minimally invasive surgery,imaging the biological tissue in two-photon microscopy etc.In current years,many works has been done to improve the performance of liquid lens,for example,increase the variation range of focal length,decrease the driving voltage,and obtain the lower aberration.Due to the capillary effect,it has been found that the optical aperture has a great influence on the meniscus of the liquid and thus the aberration.In this paper,the spherical aberration analysis of the liquid lens based on electrowetting has been presented,the results is important for optimizing the parameters of the liquid lens to minimize the spherical aberration.The detailed analysis results have been discussed,and the important conclusion has been reached,by which the spherical aberration can be minimized.
