Domestic wastewater is major driver of serious water environmental pollution in surface waters in rural areas of China.Sanitation and wastewater management problems in rural in China are distinctly different from those of (e)ities. It is not possible to centralize the infrastructure for handling all wastewater in rural areas.Decentralized treatment should be considered an essential part of an overall rural policy. For this reason, there is an urgent call for the development of appropriate decentralized treatment options that require minimum construction, operational and maintenance costs. In the present study, one wastewater management systems for reuse and resource recovery is proposed. The domestic wastewater management system for individual household (IH)involves, anaerobic digestion (septic tank),and fortified soil systems.based on vacuum system using minimal amount of transpert water allows to use black water for fertilization besides saving 80% of water.Grey water pollution calculated as COD,total N and total P could be reduced by > 70% to meet water quality standard for irrigation of courtyard horticulture after pre-treatment and soil infiltration treatment of grey water. The proposed system is a suitable technology for decentralized do.mestic sewage treatment from rural areas of China. The decentralized sewage treatment for IH had the advantages of saving water, and recycling nutrients, but also had the problems in public acceptance. Therefore, application of proposed decentralized wastewater treatment systems should be site specific accounting for social, cultural, environmental and economic conditions in the target area.
