Carbonyl sulfide (COS) is an air pollutant and causes acid rain and damage of the ozonosphere.It is a heterocumulene and structurally analogue of CO2 and a resource of C=O or C=S groups.Thus,it is an ideal one-carbon (C1) building block for synthesizing sulfur-containing polymers.
