Flavin-containing monooxygenases (FMO) were the phase Ⅰ metabolism enzymes playing important role like cytochrome P450 (CYP) enzymes in the oxidation of most nitrogen-, sulfur-, and phosphorus-containing chemical xenobiotics. The physiology characteristics and functions of FMO were wildly investigated in mammalian systems; however there were scarcity researches in insects.
