The South China block is featured by intensive Neoproterozoic magmatism which has been correlated with the assembly and breakup of Rodinia supercontinent. Most of the igneous rocks are outcropped along the Yangtze margins and its collision boundary with the Cathysian block, and few are found in the Archean terrain of the continental nucleus.Multiple episodes of Neoproterozoic magmatism have been documented along the Yangtze margins including a~950-900 Ma arc-related event (Ling et al.,2003).However,tectonic affinities of~820-780 Ma igneous activities have been hotly debated issue.
