In this research, some extreme events, such as, heat waves, cold waves, extreme precipitation, drought, forest fires, floods, sand and dust storms are detected in Iran during 2013 and 2013.For this purpose, some definitions, methods and reports were used in this research.Regarding to the definitions, heat and cold wave occur when maximum temperature is greater than 40 ℃ during 4 continuous days and minimum temperature suddenly drops 10 ℃ comparing to the previous day, respectively.In order to monitoring the drought, SPI index was applied in each station.Floods and forest fires are reported based on the relevant provincial reports.Sand and dust storms are detected by using daily meteorological reports.According to historical records of 47 synoptic stations during 36 years (1977-2012), the average temperature in 2012 was 16.9 ℃, leading to 0.1 ℃ rises comparing to the mean temperature (1981-2010), while it has been decreased more than 0.2 ℃ compared to previous year (2011).
