A simple, inexpensive and reliable analytical method was developed for the determination of benzimidazoles in vegetables using HPLC.The sample pretreatment using solid-phase extraction (SPE) for removing matrix and dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction (DLLME) for enriching analytes was performed. For the SPE, different sorbents were tested for different sample matrices. For the DLLME, the parameters influencing the extraction efficiency such as type volume of extraction solvent, type and volume of the elution solvent (disperser solvent), pH, as well as the salt addition, were studied and optimized. The presented method that combined the advantages of SPE and DLLME, had higher selectivity than SPE method and was successfully applied to the determination of benzimidazoles pesticides in vegetables.
