Pulmonary hypertension is a frequent and severe complication in the postoperative period of pediatric congenital cardiac surgery and can lead to adverse developments with severe myocardial dysfunction and multiple organ failure.In some selected cases, its possible to alleviate this complication by taking pulmonary vasodilators in pre-operative period, which is a new research field of Pediatric Cardiology.However, many patients will require an aggressive and extensive approach to control PH.
