Superhydrophobic surface based microarrays,namely,patterned arrays on a superhydrophobic background,have attracted a lot of attention in the past decades.Examples of the applications include cell arrays and piptide/protein arrays,liquid transfer chips,diagnose devices,et.al.To generate superhydrophobic surface based microarrays,direct modification on a superhydrophobic surface is often favored since it simply requires a one-step modification process.Different methods,such as photografting,plasma treatment,UV-ozone treatment and polydopamine coating,have been employed to perform such modification.
