An advanced treatment experiment was made on the municipal wastewater treatment plant secondary effluent by utilizing highly efficient sedimentation tank.The experiments studied removal efficiency of SS,TP and COD under different sludge reflux ratio and characteristics of sludge settling.Experimental results show that different sludge reflux ratio plays an influential role in contaminant removal and sludge settling.When the reflux ratio was 50%,the effluent SS,TP and COD were 10mg / L,0.48 mg/ L and 49mg / L,respectively.Effluent water satisfied standard of Class A level One (GB 18918-2002),and sludge settling performance was good.The removal effect of suspended particles by using highly efficient sedimentation tank was obvious,suspended substances whose particle diameters were more than 3μm could be removed effectively;suspended substances whose particle diameters were more than 12μm could be completely removed.
