Electrostatic controls of electronic phases in correlated electron systems have attracted much attention in oxide electronics.In particular, a field effect transistor (FET) consisting of correlated-electron oxides with an electrostatic triggering of the Mott metal-insulator (MI) transition is called a Mott transistor.
