Objective: It is crucial to ensure the retention and stability of the complete denture for the edentulous patients.Any premature contact and occlusal interference of any artificial teeth can influence the retention and stability of the complete denture.During the making process, especially arrangement of denture base flasking and packing can affect the final occlusal relationship.During the process of occlusal adjustment,we mainly use the occlusal paper, which is largely affected by saliva.Whats more, the experience of the dentist is also very important for the application. Thus, there is a big error of this method which can not reflect the dynamic process of occlusion. To analysis the process time was first introduced by T-Scan which provide accurate basis for occlusal adjustment. Many reports about the former two generations of T-Scan focus on fixed partial dentures and removable partial denture.Tekscan company took twenty years to update the hardware and software, finally T-ScanⅢsystem was published.T-Scan system is rarely used in occlusal detection of the complete denture especially at home and abroad. In this study, the T-Scan method combined the occlusal paper in the centric occlusion of the complete denture.T-ScanⅢ system is used for occlusion detection and occlusal adjustment. We utilize T-ScanⅢ system to collect some occlual parameters, including total occlual force, occlusal balance, occlusal area and load in Delta image. In addition,we compare the method of T-ScanⅢ system and traditional occlusal paper to guide occlusal adjustment of the complete denture.
