To understand the fruiting process of Hypsizygus marmoreus, we developed a synthetic liquid medium (SLM) to induce fruit body initiation and investigated the effect of glucose on the fruiting body of H.marmoreus.Primordia appeared about 10 days earlier on low glucose media (LGM) than on high glucose media (HGM).When cultured on HGM, more primordial formed and mature fruiting bodies developed on mushrooms about 7 days earlier than on LGM.
