Gastric cancer liver metastasis (GCLMs) is a common disease, which has long been considered as a systemic disease and chemotherapy is considered as the standard treatment.Different from the colorectal and neuroendocrine liver metastases, in which the surgical resection is now widely accepted as a potentially curative treatment, the role of hepatectomy in GCLMs remains unclear and it remains controversial whether surgical resection is beneficial for GCLMs because of its ' low curative primary tumor and liver metastases resection and high incidence of tumor recurrence base on the clinicopathological characteristics of gastric cancer.
