Two kinds of hot-rolled low carbon steel plates that contain different contents of titanium element were designed in laboratory. The microstructure and mechanical properties before and after the enamelling were contrastively investigated, and the precipitates in the samples were analysed by TEM and EDS.The results show that there is higher volume fraction of TiC precipitates in the sample containing higher content of titanium element. These precipitated particals,on the one hand, can be the hydrogen traps and improve the fishscaling resistance,on the other hand, can increase the yield strength of the steel plates. For the samples containing higher content of Ti,the yield strength after enamelling can reach more than 400MPa,and no fishscales were found at the surfaces of the samples after two-side enamelling.
