A new method was used to prepare the MgO and SiO2 from boron mud by acid leaching combination alkali leaching. The magnesium sulfate was produced by the raw materials of boron mud and sulfuric acid and it was used as raw materials to prepare light magnesium carbonate. The MgO of high purity was prepared by calcining the light magnesium carbonate.
