Biochar, which is formed in high temperature pyrolysis and gasification processes,is the byproduct of the energy utilization of biomass, such as straw and sawdust.Because of the high porosity and special surface characteristics, biochar has been used in agriculture in the remediation heavy metal polluted soil, and soil conditioning. In this research,9 composts were prepared with pig manure and 3 passivators which were sawdust carbon (SDC),wheat straw carbon (WSC),and JBW biological humic acid (JBHA);a 33 orthogonal experiment were performed with different addition ratios, which were 2.5%,5%,and 7.5% respectively. These composts were applied in rape plant to identify the major factor that affected the stability of the passivation of heavy metals, the accumulation of heavy metals in rape and the utilization of nutrient elements.
