中学英语教师学术论文写作案例分析--以教育硕士毕业论文为例

为了了解中学英语教师学术论文写作现状,围绕“中学英语教师学术研究能力如何?”和“中学英语教师学术写作水平如何?”这两个研究问题,本研究以湖北大学2011届20位教育硕士学员的毕业论文为素材,从学术研究能力和学术写作能力两个方面分析参加教育硕士学习的中学英语教师的学术论文写作能力。学术研究能力从教育硕士学员毕业论文选题和研究问题设计两个方面开展讨论;学术写作能力从学员论文题目的汉英翻译和学术论文写作规范两个方面来探讨。研究结果表明,毕业论文的选题反映了学员通过课程学习,能够运用理论知识,反思自己的教学实践,尝试新的教学方法,寻求解决现实存在问题的途径。研究问题设计反映出中学英语教师在深入理解教学理念、提高教学水平和教学研究能力方面作出了积极探索。但是,学员的学术研究能力还有待进一步加强。同时,从毕业论文题目的汉英翻译以及文中引用和参考文献的撰写几个方面发现,学员的学术写作能力比较薄弱。因此,需要培养学员学术论文写作规范意识,提高其学术写作能力。 In order to understand the status quo of academic thesis writing for middle school English teachers, this research focuses on the following two research questions: “How does the academic ability of secondary school English teachers?” And “How high is the level of academic writing of secondary school English teachers?” A master’s thesis student education graduates thesis as material, from two aspects of academic research ability and academic writing ability to analyze secondary school English teachers participating in educational master’s academic writing ability. The ability of academic research is discussed from two aspects: the topic selection of master’s thesis for graduate students and the design of research questions. The ability of academic writing is discussed from the aspects of the translation of Chinese and English papers and the writing of academic papers. The results show that the topics of graduation thesis reflect the students through the course of study, be able to use theoretical knowledge, reflect on their own teaching practice, try new teaching methods, and seek ways to solve the existing problems. The design of research questions reflects that secondary school English teachers have actively explored the aspects of in-depth understanding of teaching philosophy, teaching quality and teaching research ability. However, the academic research capabilities of students still need to be further strengthened. At the same time, from several aspects, such as the Chinese-English translation of the thesis and the citing and reference of the article, the students’ abilities of writing in the academic writing are relatively weak. Therefore, it is necessary to cultivate students’ awareness of academic essay writing and improve their academic writing ability.
