We discuss the notion of disorder relevance vs irrelevance, and our recent results on the scaling limit of disorder relevant systems, which include the pinning model, the long-range directed polymer model, and the two-dimensional random field Ising model. The key ingredient is a result on convergence of polynomial chaos expansions to Wiener chaos expansions.
