1911年至今的百年來,尤其是改革開放以來,大陸兩宋禮制的研究在禮制文獻整理與研究方面、斷代史與專門史中的兩宋禮制研究方面、禮樂制度沿革、變遷、禮典修撰研究方面、郊祀、封禪、太廟、濮議等相關問題的研究方面、宋代家族祭祀、家廟等研究方面、禮制下移、地方教化、禮制與禮俗關係、淫祀研究方面、對具體禮儀的研究方面、禮制與佛道兩教關係方面、兩宋禮學思想研究方面、鄉規民約與家訓、家禮研究方面、其他具體禮儀研究方面取得一些成果。但存在一些缺陷與問題,主要是:其一,禮制典籍整理與研究尚待進一步開展;其二,斷代禮制史研究不足;其三,禮學思想尚待系統研究;其四,制禮機構與具體禮儀制度的研究尚有許多擴展的餘地;其五,具體研究多,價值判斷少;其六,研究範圍狹窄;其七,資料範圍有待拓寬。
