It is well known that cell surface glycans or glycocalyx play important roles in sperm motility, maturation and fertilization.A comprehensive profile of the sperm surface glycans willgreatly facilitate both basic research (sperm glycobiology) and clinical studies, such as diagnosticsof infertility.
