Ionic liquids have been reported to be powerful and green solvents for cellulose and epoxy resin.etc.However,little is known for the dissolution of ionic liquids for SiCl4,which is one of the main byproducts from polysilicon industries.Several ionic liquids,including [Bmim][OTf]),[Bmim]NTf2,[Hmim]NTf2,[Omim]NTf2,[B3MePy]NTf2,[H3MePy]NTf2,and [O3MePy]NTf2,were used as solvent to dissolve SiCl4,and the dissolution behavior of SiCl4 dissolved in given ionic liquids were investigated.
