This paper introduces the working principle of a new proposed vapor compression/ejection refrigeration cycle.The characteristic of this cycle is the utilization of the ejector and the sensible heat of the compressor discharge,which can avoid two major problems in simple vapor compression refrigeration cycle: a)flash steam generated in throttling process enters and takes up the effective heat exchange area of the evaporator,which reduces its thermal efficiency; b)flash steam sucked by compressor increases the compressor power.Thermodynamic calculations are made to analyse and compare the compressor work ratio,the refrigerating capacity ratio and the increasing rate of COP in two cycles at different evaporating temperatures.
