　　S-Adenosylmethionine(SAM)is the important methyl donor in the cells.The function of SAM is involved in gene transcription,cell proliferation,and production of secondary metabolites.For instance,the methylation of DNA may switch the genes off.Thus,S-adenosylmethionine is considered to control gene expression.
