  Tralopyril (Figure 1) is a biocide optimized from dioxapyrrolomycin that shows excellent insecticidal activity.However, this compound exhibits phytotoxic effects.To simultaneously solve the probles of the phytotoxicity and non-systemic insecticidal activity of tralopyril, four new tralopyril conjugates (Figure 1:17, 18, 19, and 20) containing theanine or glutamic acid moieties were designed and synthesized via click chemistry with good overall yield.Their phytotoxicity to tea shoot, structure-phloem systemicity relationship, and structure-insecticidal activity were evaluated.
