  Sapstain fungi are the cause of the discoloration of sapwood within blue, brown, grey or black.Control of these fungi with antagonistic compounds from Trichoderma gamsii KUC1747 were conducted in this study.Various compounds were detected in the extracts of T.gamsii after 7 days incubation at 25℃.According to the profiles obtained with thin-layer chromatography, fraction 1-9, 10-21, 22-23, 24-28and 29-30 were then combined respectively into five fractions (F1-F5).In order to estimate the antifungal potential of the fractions, the sapstain fungi, Ophiostoma floccosum, O.piceae, O.piliferum, O.ips, O.koreanum and O.piceaperdum were tested.
