TaTOC1 genes involved in circadian clock controls several agronomic traits in wheat

  Circadian clock has been found to play important roles in plant growth and development.Wheat (Triticum astivum L.) circadian clock genes, TaTOC1-A, TaTOC1-B, TaTOC1-D, were cloned and mapped in wheat chromosome 6A, 6B and 6D, respectively.The transcripts of TaTOC1-A, TaTOC1-B and TaTOC1-D could be detected in all organs of wheat, and the expression level of each gene differed depending on the organ types and development stages.To further determine their functions in wheat, an RNAi vector was constructed to knock down three genes including TaTOC1-A, TaTOC1-B and TaTOC1-D.
