We propose an IR-pump-XUV-probe scheme to investigate electron ionization dynamics,in which the laser pulse ionizes an electron from the valence orbital, creating a hole in the atom, and the attosecond pulse probes the related electron dynamics with resonant transition from inner-shell orbital to the valence hole.By analyzing the emission spectra as a function of the time delay between the two pulses,we observe strong modulations on the emission spectra, which allow us to probe both inner and outer shell electron dynamics on the equal footing.
