Polypyrrole (PPy) is one of the most important conducting polymers, with good conductivity, relatively easiness for preparation, and environmental stability.Ag nanoparticles have been the focus of great interest because of their unique optical and catalytic properties.Ag/PPy nanocomposites show improved physical and chemical properties due to the synergistic effect, so they have huge potential applications in catalysis, biological sensors,microelectronics devices, etc.For the Ag/PPy nanocomposits to be used in devices, film forms are preferred.However, self-standing Ag/PPy films normally exhibit poor mechanical properties and are easy to get fractured.Assembling Ag/PPy nanoparticles on to a substrate can effectively solve the problem.
