Chronostratigraphic control of the core BN05 collected from Arctic Ocean was provided by AMS14C dating and paleomagnetic methods, as well as correlation to earlier established Arctic Ocean stratigraphies, cover the Late Quaternary Marine Isotope Stages (MIS) 15-1.Detailed investigations of the changes of clay and bulk mineralogy of Late Quaternary sediments of core BN05 from the Canada Basin provide important new information about the provenance and transport paths of the sediments. Our results suggest that the glacier collapse events of the Laurentide Ice Sheet (LIS) were recorded by the increased contents of ice-rafted debris and decreased foraminifers abundance in the sediment core, and notably by spikes of dolomite and kaolinite from the Canadian Arctic Archipelago and northern Canada.
