Controlled release systems, which have many advantages compared with conventional dosage forms including improved efficacy, reduced side effects, and improved patient compliance and convenience[l], have attracted a lot of attention in recent years.Electrospun fibers with diameters ranging from several micrometers down to tens of nanometers are physically similar to the structure of ECM[2], which afforded them with a wide range of biomedical applications including tissue engineering[3], wound dressing[4], and drug delivery[4-5].Electrospinning is a very simple process to prepare membrane to serve as drug carrier and has many control variables.More than that, with the development ofmultijet[6], multilayer[5, 7] and coaxial electrospinning[2b],more possibilities were given to design more complex systems to adjust the release behavior of drugs.
