The necrotrophic fungal phytopathogen Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary has a broad host range and causes destructive diseases frequently. The extensive use of common fungicides to control these diseases has been selected for populations of S.sclerotiorum that are resistant to these common fungicides. In this study, 105 isolates of S.sclerotiorum from different geographical regions were characterized for baseline sensitivity to azoxytrobin (a fungicide with an unusual mode of action), and the EC50 value was 0.293 2μg/ml mycelial growth.
