Objective:Tostudythe alterationsofsmall-worldproperty,globalefficiencyandbetweenesscentralityinthebrainfunctional networkofPOAGpatients,inordertoevaluatethebrainnetworkefficiencyandrevealthereorganizationofthebrainnetwork pattern. methods:Thesubjectsanddataacquisitionmethodswereassameaspartone.Weappliedtheresting-statefMRIdatato constructthebrainfunctionalnetworkofPOAGpatientsandnormalcontrolsubjects.Thenthedegree,shortestpathlength, clusteringcoefficient,globalefficiencyandbetweennesscentralitywerecalculatedseparately.Theparametersofthetwogroups werecompared,andthecorrelationsbetweenparametersofPOAGgroupandHAPstageswereanalyzed. Results:ThebrainnetworkofPOAGpatientsshowedsmall-worldproperty,buttheclusteringcoefficientsofleftgyrusrectus andbilateralthalamusdecreased.Theglobalefficiencyofbilateralsuperioroccipitalgyrus,rightinferioroccipitalgyrusandright fusiformdecreased,whiletheglobalefficiencyofbilateralsupramarginalgyriincreased(p<0.05).Therewere8hubsinthebrain networkofnormalcontrols,and6ofthemdisappearedinPOAGpatients.Thedisappearedhubswererightrolandicoperculum, rightorbitalfrontalgyrus,leftsuperioroccipitalgyrus,rightfusiformandbilateralpostcentralgyri.Ontheotherhand,6new hubsappearedinthenetworkofPOAGpatients,includingleftroladicoperculum,leftorbitalfrontalgyrus,leftparahippocampal gyrus,leftcalcarinecortex,leftangulargyrusandrightmiddletemporalgyrus.Thebetweennesscentralitiesofrightrolandic operculum,leftsuperioroccipitalgyrus,rightfusiformandrightpostcentralgyrusinnormalcontrolsweresignificantlygreater thanthoseofPOAGpatients(p<0.05),butthebetweennesscentralitiesofnewhubsinPOAGpatientswerenotsignificantly differentwithnormalcontrols(p>0.05). Conclusion:Thesmall-worldpropertyispreservedinbrainfunctionalnetworksofPOAGpatients,buttheglobalefficiencyof bilateralsuperioroccipitalgyrus,rightinferioroccipitalgyrusandrightfusiformdecreases.Somehubslocatedinvisualnetwork, motorandsensorynetworksandsaliencenetworkchangedinPOAGpatients,indicatingthatthediseasemaycausebrain networkreorganization.
