This article gives a general review of certain important issues in the ancient history of Inner Mongolia. It considers that the Inner Mongolia Plateau is the main stage of the ancient history of the Northern and Mongolian nationalities and is inextricably linked with the Mainland. The southward movement of all ethnic groups in the north and the southward movement have a huge impact on the history of China and have made a significant contribution to the formation of a unified multi-ethnic national community. The division of labor and exchange relationship between a single nomadic economy and the comprehensive agricultural handicrafts in the hinterland is a powerful lever that has promoted the development of the ancient history of Inner Mongolia Plateau.
