Fibroblast growth factor (FGF) receptor (FGFR) signaling is required for progression of many tumors but this pathway has not been well studied as a prognostic factor or potential therapeutic target in renal cell carcinoma (RCC).In our studies, we evaluated preliminary role of FGF/FGFR pathway in RCC.Our studies have demonstrated a high expression of FGFR1 in human primary and metastatic renal cell carcinoma.
