Chemometrics combined with artificial neural networks (ANN) were applied to identify raw milk and reconstituted milk using near infrared reflectance spectroscopy (NIRS) as a rapid,clean and low cost technique The NIR spectra of a sample are typical measured by moderu scanning instruments at hundreds of equally spaced wavelengths.The information in the curve is used to predict the chemical composition of the sample by extracting the relevant information from many overlapping peaks.
